SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT
from Impression Obsession

We are downsizing our warehouse and will lose the space where our production equipment is located. Sadly, this means we will not be able to produce ANY red rubber stamps after the end of the month. They will be removed from the site on May 15th, so if you've been thinking of ordering some, head on over!

My first card uses Reach for the Stars with the Open Balloons stencil

My next card uses the girl & sentiment from the Book Lover set with the sentiment framed with a circle from Circles stencil. The background was created with Grungy Stripes background

This red rubber background is leaving soon so grab it while you can HERE

I shared this background technique plus more background ideas HERE & HERE

My next card pairs the kitty from Book Lover, with the Open Balloons stencil on the Grunge Paint Paper. The balloon string is from the new Balloon dies. I used white acrylic paint for the highlight on the balloon on the faux mixed media card.

Happy news! I have new stamps!

Sweet Citrus & More Sweet Citrus stamp sets coordinate with the new Sweet Citrus dies & Citrus Colors Paper Pad. These sets are perfect for birthday & friendship cards.

Reach for the Stars is a fun what I call a "general" set that works for many occassions. I used it today as a graduation card. It works great for guy cards & so many more occassions. It coordinates with the new Primitive Stars die set & Stars & Stripes Paper Pad

I also have 2 new red rubber background stamps called Grungy Dots & Grungy Stripes. These are a little bittersweet for me because I really think they are my favorites that I've made and will only be available for 2 weeks. I've shared some background techniques with them below. If you like them grab them while you can!

More background techniques with these stamps HERE

My first card uses the Reach for the Stars stars over a Grungy Stripes background stamped in purple & brown for a quick and easy textured background.

Here's another sweet background idea. I stenciled some circles in pink and orangy yellow inks and then overstamped the background with the Grungy Dots background stamp in the same yellow.

For this card the Grungy Stripes background was stamped in light blue on a white card. I used a sponge to dab a little brown ink in some areas and then sponged the edges in brown ink. Suoer simple and it turned out with a fax wood look.

Products used - Sweet Citrus & Grungy Stripes

One more background technique!

This one is similar to a background I shared yesterday (see it HERE). I used a MISTI stamp platform for this (so the stamp always lands in the same spot). Ink an area on your stamp (this one uses Grungy Dots) in your lightest color and blend out the edges of the ink on the stamp before stamping to avoid any hard edges. Repeat with different colors until you have the coverage that you like. I used fun citrusy colors on a white card.  After I was done with the background I added a stencilled circle in green to frame the little orange. I finished the card off with a border using the edge from the Circles stencil set.

My first card uses the stars from Reach for the Stars  over the Grungy Stripes background stamped in pink for a fun and easy textured background.

Here's another fun background idea. I stenciled a background using Balloons & Open Balloons stencil in citrusy colors. Then while the Open Balloons stencil was still in place I stamped in yellow with the Grungy Dots stamp. I love the texture!

Here is a fun way to create a multi colored background with one stamp. I used a MISTI stamp platform for this (so the stamp always lands in the same spot). Ink an area on your stamp (this one uses Grungy Stripes) in your lightest color and blend out the edges of the ink on the stamp before stamping to avoid any hard edges. Repeat with different colors until you have the coverage that you like. After the background was done I used the Rectangle stencil to create a faux frame.

One more background technique!
I stamped the back panel in yellow ink (white cardstock). Then I used the Windows stencil in a darker yellow to create the squares "frames". Easy peasy!
